    beach bum kiddos

my 14 month old grandson has turned into a beach bum.
(they live at york beach maine)
his temper flares when they wrap things up and call it a day.

when in aruba, are your kids happy being on the beach for prolonged hours at a time?
do they put up a fuss when you pack it in and head off to another adventure such as something like "phillips animal
garden or jolly pirate or ostrich farm?"

Maybe a little off topic but close...
My nephew is abound 18 months and loves the water. My dad has a boat house on a lake and Mason will grab his life jacket and bring it over to my dad because he knows that means he gets to go in the boat.
We got him a sandbox for his 1st birthday to get him ready for the texture when it was time to go to the beach. Worked like a charm!
My cousin has 2 girls ages 5 & 7 and those girls would be on the beach from wake up to time to go to bed if you would let them. I call that raising them right!
Not sure when, but we will be back

My kids are old enough to tell time now (darn it) so they pack up when they think it's around 1:30 to make it back for bingo. As a kid we would stay on the beach till 6pm and if any one of us attempted to pack up before that we would be in huge trouble - no matter how burnt we were!

I'm with CP. I'm worse than the kiddos. I'm ALWAYS the last one off the beach. I think I've said this before, but on departure day I know my DH will be annoyed with me because I get up super early, head to the beach until he drags me kicking and screaming back to the room to pack and head to the airport (well, I don't throw a noticeable fit, but I do wait until the very last second).

My kids love the beach and loved Jolly Pirates. I didn't plan much on their last trip; every day was beach day. Although, they were 17 and 19 and had better not have thrown a tantrum when mom said "let's go".

My husband is like you, AUA. On the day of departure, he is on the beach & does not come off until the last second. Of course he has nothing to worry about as I have wshed clothes, packed, cleaned up, threw the garbage out. he comes back, showers, changes & gets in the car. And yes, I get annoyed at my husband, too. LOL

yup, I am so a beach baby.....on the beach till they kick me off !!!!
No kids of my own, but great niece would stay with me on beach till she is also dragged off....doesnt matter if is is raining or sunny. As long as her feet are in the sand she is happy....I must say, I am such a good influence on her....much to her mother's chagrin !!!!!
