Okay. Lets hear your all time best places to go out to eat with your kids?
I will be making a list to take with us when we go in October.

You can take your kids to any restaurant on the island. Some places have a "kids menu" and those that don't will usually make a half portion of an item off the menu. We have never had a problem in over 22 years when we took our kids and now the grandkids to any restaurant on the island.

Re: Best Places to Eat W/ Kids

We're headed there next week, 6/13-6/20, to stay in a 2 bdrm. timeshare at the new Marriott Surf Club. We'll be traveling with our 1 1/2 yr. old son, so I'll let you know. I have several in mind, since we stayed at the Marriott Stellaris pre-children, and I've done EXTENSIVE research recently.

We're going to try to eat mostly outdoors or under cover, but open to the air, since we are in such a beautiful place. I just wonder if there will be bugs, so I'll have to carry spray just in case, or we can always move inside.

So far, I'm thinking of Madame Janettes, Pirates Nest, The Lighhouse Rest. (El something Banco) on their terrace at sunset, El Gaucho and MAYBE the Buccaneer for the amusement of the fishtanks, but I read several horrible reviews of the food. When I return, I'll let you know how it all worked out.

Buccaneers, Iguana Joe's, Paddock (all you can eat ribs for $10.00 on Wednesday nights), and Tomato Charlies. Most restaurants have kid menus and all are kid friendly. some of the more romantic restaurants might "prefer" you were in and out by 6:30 ish.

Re: Best Places to Eat W/ Kids

We're heading back to Aruba July 21. Our first visit was last year. Our kids, 12 and 16, loved Tomato Charlies. There was a wonderful waiter named Oscar who was very friendly. I hope he's still working there. We also enjoyed Smokey Joe's (outdoor dining) which is just down the street. Their ribs were outstanding. They also served a wicked adult beverage in a mason jar. Very potent. We also ate at El Gaucho. One of steaks my son ordered was tough, our waiter brought the manager to our table and another steak was brought out. No hassle, no problem. It was a very nice dinner. Hope you have a great time...it's hard not to have a great time.

Re: Best Places to Eat W/ Kids

We will be staying at Casa Del Mar in October for 8 days.My kids are 12, 9, 3, and 2.I am looking for probably quick meals.LOL Outside prefered.I think I will go to the grocery store to pick up breakfast items, and drinks and such for during the day - because my kids drink all day long.
Nothing fancy with the meals.I have been to Aruba before with just my husband -so we have done the alone dinner thing several times. This will be a family vacation.Im excited about going-even in light of all that is happening.
Thoughts and prayers for Natalee's safe return home.

Re: Best Places to Eat W/ Kids

We went in April.
We ate at the Texas de Brazil, El Goucho's, Iguana Joe's (lunch) and an Italian Restaurant across the street from the Aqua Grill (can't remember the name).

Our favorite was El Goucho's, but all were very good and really catered to the children. Granted, we always went pretty early to beat the crowds. Have fun!
