Re: Best Places to Eat W/ Kids

My kids have been to every nice restaurant on the island. They are picky eaters and every restaurant makes either chicken nuggets or pasta for them. Don't miss out on great restaurants. Take them everywhere!

Loriann,

The poolbar on the Aruba Beach Club side usually has some reasonable lunch specials that are great for kids. My 3 yr old daughter loved it.

Re: Best Places to Eat W/ Kids

We just returned from a week long visit. Our 9 year old was with us. We went out early (6 or 6:30 reservations) and the restaurants were empty. My daughter and I shared some meals...At the Old Cunucu House, they split our meal onto 2 plates and even added a little bit of extra sides to the plates. El Gaucho was fantastic...even convinced the child to try conch. She loved it. The Waterfront Crab House gave her a half order of crab legs. All the restaurants seemed eager to please.
I would recommend the grocery shopping for the snacks, drinks, etc. We did this and even packed a lunch for the day we toured the island in our jeep. Have a wonderful time.

Re: Best Places to Eat W/ Kids

My kids love blossoms at the wyndam (they are adolescent).

The japanese hibachi is loads of fun and entertaining. The ambiance is perfect with giant tropical fish tanks and an in ground koi pond and they have this decorative gong that my son (age 2) insists on striking every time he leaves...staff permitting of course.

Re: Best Places to Eat W/ Kids

I have eaten at almost all the places mentioned here, usually with my kids (except for Blossoms which we will hit next time).

The only one I would recommend against is the Buccanier. Good atmosphere, but the food was the worst we have ever eaten on the island (covering 15 years) and the service was just as bad. We actually complained to the manager (who is also the owner and I think the head chef). He told us he has never had anyone complain about the food, which I find hard to believe considering how awful it was.

Sorry to be so negative. LikeI said, the other places listed are great. My kids are little (under 5) so they were focused more on dessert at the Marriott then dinner each night, but they really liked Tony Roma's and Tomato Charlie's. We didn't take them to Madame Janette's because we thought it was too formal for young ones, but there were young kids their and ours are well behaved, so maybe next trip.

LaPetite (next to LaCabana has an all you can eat breakfast for $7.95...can't beat it. Also, the Hangout is sort of like an Outback Steakhouse..our waitress was awesome with my kids!

Re: Best Places to Eat W/ Kids

Thanks to all sharing their ideas! we are leaving the 23rd with two kids under four years, and I have been trying to decide where to eat. We went to Benihanas a few years back with our son and he loved it. Is it still there???? I will make sure to hit Tomato Charlies and ElGaucho.
