Butterfly Farm & Glass Bottom Boats

We will be in Aruba in May with our 3 year old Granddaughter. Looking for opinions on the Butterfly Farm, Glass Bottom Boats, and other recommendations. Thanks.

Haven't done the glass bottom boat but as for the Butterfly Farm, go early in the morning or as early as they open, when it's not so darn hot and also the butterflies are at their most active then. I guess even they don't like to be zipping around in the heat.

Butterfly Farm is a must do. Our kids go every year since they opened. You can return as many times as you wish during your stay for the same initial fee. Don't like boats so cannot help you with that one.

Glass bottom boat was fun. Went over the wrecks and saw plenty of fish and coral. Nice ride along the shore too with windsurfers flying by. You sit on the seats until they are going to view something, then the seats lift up to expose the large windows underneath. The guide explains in both Spanish and English. you need to go to the Deplam dock by the Radisson to get boat.

Re: Butterfly Farm & Glass Bottom Boats

I have been to ARuba many times but have never taken the glass bottom boat. I am nervous about boats. Does this boat go under water? Do you go far out? Is it very rough and do they drive quickly? Other than that, it sounds nice and my kids might enjoy that!!! Looking forward to your repy.

Another idea similar to the Glass Bottom Boat is the Semi-submarine called the Seaworld Explorer. My kids really enjoyed this. It's a boat in which you can go "downstairs" and view everything from 5 ft. under the water through the windows. It was really neat and we all had fun. The tour guide was amusing, too.

The semi-sub was wonderful for our 3 & 4 yr old. They loved it & saw amazing fish & colors. Highly recommend it!
