    Christmas Events

Hello! My family will be in Aruba during the Christmas holidays. Has anyone been in Aruba with children during the holidays? Are there any special events to expect? Anything I may need to plan for or buy tickets to now? Thank you.

Welcome to the aruba.com community forum.

Christmas as is a very busy time and I do advise advanced reservations for special events or tours such as Jolly Pirates, atv tours, etc

advanced reservations will be necessary for dinners. Places like the butterfly farm, Phillips Animal Garden etc will not need advanced reservations. =Family2Aruba;277298]Hello! We actually went to this guys house with Bully this past Christmas Week. The guy had his house turned into a Christmas village with a kids choir there, sold snacks and drinks, and turned the house into a winter wonderland with this incredible train set up. This was inside his house.
wish I could remember the name of the place.
maybe Lisa will chime in with the name

There are no reservations needed, and I don't know which hotels do it, but my kids will always remember Santa on the beach. Yes, someone was dressed in full Santa gear and paraded around to steel drum music. He stopped near the pool and handed out gifts to the younger kids.

If you'll be there through New Year's Eve, the fireworks are beyond crazy! We started out at the lighthouse and could see them all around the island. We ended up on the beach at midnight and there were parties and fireworks displays over the water up and down the beach.

Besides Maduro's Christmas Village there are tons of Christmas lights as well as other private homes open to the public which are similar to Maduro's but unique in their own way.

My photos of it are not as good as this one but Sero Preto is another "not to be missed"

My suggestion would be to hire a private guide for a few hours to get you around to all of these spots.

One year we walked the strip of the resorts in high rise area, went into all the different hotel lobbies to see all the different xmas decorations.
