Excursions with kids

Will be in Aruba in Jan (have been twice before). 1st time rented a car and did our own island sightseeing, second time just relaxed by the beach/pool. This time we are contemplating an excursion. The two that caught my eye are: the jolly pirates and the submarine. We are two families, with 4 kids ages 4-9. Any suggestions?

Thanks Arubalisa.
So the Jolly Pirates is okay for the 4 year old? That was my biggest concern. The other kids are older, so I know they will enjoy it.

i mean no disrespect to lisa's JP recommendation
i am just in disagreement

does the 4 yr old swim?
will he/she go into the ocean (life jacket on)?

my first thought was a 4 yr old would be too young for jolly.........but i am basing it on how my son was at age 4..........he could swim and stay afloat but not snorkel.

the jolly has the rope swing, food, beverage and snorkeling.
if that will be fine for your 4 yr old, i would say go for it.

the other kids, are they all going to be ok snorkeling from a boat?
i am sure they will be in lifejackets, but i forsee lots of mask adjustments making it quite difficult as everyone is bobbing around saying "my mask is leaking" or "my mask is fogged up" stuff like that.

it is a mighty expensive venture for all of you and i want to see folks get the most of it.
the kids' young ages to me is a concern.

submarine.............expensive too and does not last even an hour. a tremendous awesome experience, but it is short lived.

another option to consider would be a full day at depalm island?
snorkeling there
food and beverage all inclusive
beach
water park that is right in line for 4 - 10 yr olds

check out depalm

butterfly farm early in the morning
donkey sanctuary
ostrich farm

my guess is you will have a hard time grabbing them away from the beach/pool.

Yes, it may be hard to pull them away from the beach/pool. lol
I'll check out depalm. Is the waterpark at the island Morgans or is that something totally different?

I would have recommended the Jolly Pirate as well. But probably not for a four year old.

Baby Beach is free other than a car, introduce them to the water(stay inside the breakwater) see how they do then go for JP.
