Many to choose from
All inclusive Tamarijn would be ideal and good rate for kids.
Non all inclusive..... Radisson, Westin, Hyatt, Marriott
You might want to consider renting a timeshare?

I think the manchebo and Amsterdam manor may not be as
"kid oriented" as the ones I suggested

Any of these places would be great with kids, though Tierra del Sol is a bit off the beaten path, it is very upscale.
There is not much mention of it here, but if you are looking for a resort with a kids club, you need to dig into the fine print to see if there is an extra charge.
The Holiday Inn http://www.holidayarubaresort.com/se..._eat_free.html and Tamarijn http://www.tamarijnaruba.com/packages/family/index.php do not charge extra.
The larger resorts such as Radisson, Marriott, Hyatt and Westin all do charge for their clubs.

Timeshare resorts offer activities for kids as well, though I do not know if or what they charge.
The Tamarijn is great for kids of any age. A huge advantage to staying at the Tamarijn or sister resort Divi is that children 11 years or younger stay free and all inclusive.
Our first stay there was with 4 kids. That review is here.
Our second and third stays were over the summer and we traveled with friends who also had two girls. One of which was 8 yo at the time.
Our fourth stay was with 5 kids, ages 17, 16, 15, 13 and 10 years old. That review is here.

A post I had written in reply to someone inquiring about the Tamarijn with a 5 yo and new born.
Which AI to stay with children?
Having said this, our dd was 11 yo the first time she stayed at the Radisson and she loves it as much as the Radisson but for different reasons.
Also, depending upon what type of swimmer your younger child is, many people like zero entry swimming pools with children.
question regarding resort pools

Christmas & New Year's at the Amsterdam Manor
I stayed at the Radisson last summer with my 4 year-old son and 7 year-old daughter. Everyone had a great time. So much so that our once-in-a-lifetime trip is being repeated this summer and we're headed back to the Radisson.
Hi...my wife and I have traveled extensively. However, on May 29th of this year things changed a bit as we were blessed with a new daughter! We want to continue to travel. We also want to bring along our ten year old. We have decided on Aruba for the summer of 2013. I will be picking everyones' brains on this board as the time gets closer. I am looking forward to (and appreciate) your advice.
I have been to Aruba before, but it was in 2000. Thanks in advance for your advice!
Congratulation RocksMom and welcome to the forum
