First time with our infant grandson

After visiting Aruba for the past 12 years we are going in a week and this time with our infant grandson. We have seen people with beach strollers (the ones with the big wheels) did they bring them or did they rent them. If rented where? Any tips with the infant would be appreciated.

we went to aruba with our 10 month old and 2 yr old grandson last november.
    it was EXHAUSTING.
the exhausting part was from the 2 yr old, the 10 month old was a cake walk.

if your grandson is an infant, that will be even easier!
enjoy the time when the child is not mobile on his own!

my son and daughther in law own one of those big wheel strollers (it holds 2)
it was not good on the sand.
but, the 2 yr old walked on the sand and the 10 month old was carried and my husband and son carried the stroller over the sand to the palapa.
it was quite an adventure, but we had a routine.

i do not know of a stroller rental place, but i will put out feelers.
however, i think the baby should just go in his "regular stroller" and they/and you can do what we did.
an umbrella stroller is also quite sufficient.

    how old is the baby?

We've been bringing our granddaughters since birth(oldest was 2 months old first trip) ... we just picked up an umbrella stroller before we left.....used it to get on the plane ...they will bring it back when you land so you don't have to carry the child the whole time in the airport...In Aruba it worked well for walking around town and taking a stroll on the walkway between the beach and hotels. We have been bringing our daughter to Aruba twice a year since she was 6 months old. (She is 6 years old now) The first few trips were tough but I am glad we did it. We bought one of those bouncy seats that hangs from a doorway and attached it to the support beams of a palapa hut. She bounced all day in the sand without every getting sun burnt or too dirty!

The heat will make your grandson take LONG naps....our son was talking 3 plus hour naps in Aruba our first couple of trips with him.
