Going to Aruba for the very first time with 12 yr old son, June 13th through the 23rd. We'll be staying at the Westin. Anyone else with a son that age? Also, I haven't seen much in the way of posting regarding jet skiing...something ds is interested in. Anyone have any experience with jet skiing?

There are jet ski rental all along the shore,if not they put you in a boat and take you to them.I dont know if they will rent one to a 12 year old,but who knows its Aruba.Plenty of other water sports also.ENJOY...

Along Palm Beach there are any number of watersports operators who offer jet ski rentals. As DANNYO stated, they may not rent to a 12 yo, solo, but would allow tandem with an adult. The jetskis are not located on Palm Beach the operator will take you by boat to their location just off of Eagle Beach.

Westin is a family resort, and that time of the month, with many schools out for the summer (our dd's last day was Friday ), there should more and more kids around each day.

Either way, a kid would be hard pressed NOT to have a GOOD time in Aruba.

I would try some deep sea fishing. I remember my Dad and I doing this when I was about this age. Plenty of boats to choose from I like Capt Peter and his boat Melinea.
