The pool at the Occidental is clear--but I do have one question Andrea. Last year a BIG bird flew over the pool with a smaller bird in it's mouth and dropped that bird in the pool. Well I think that is what happened, I didn't see the BIG bird. Anyway the bird was dead. They got it out VERY FAST. Should had something been done to the water? I was in the water at the time, but I got out. It was time to go get ready for dinner, so I didn't get back in until the next day. Just a question???? Thanks

Just wondering if anyone knows if the Renaissance allows kids in swim diapers in the pool? My daughter is 2 and still in diapers, hopefully she won't be in November but just want to double check just in case.

i have NO problem with being in a pool with a child in swim diaper.

and to make it more safe.....diaper covers, what we called rubber pants over the swim diaper to give extra protection

urine in a properly disinfected pool does NOT phase me one little bit.

urine is clean as compared to poop.

swim diapered kids are not an issue
a bigger issue is an undiapered person that does not do a very good job of wiping their bum prior to swimming.
Andrea, Do you have any literature that backs this up? I need to back up my position on why our condo association should continue to allow our swim diapered kids into the pool that they all of a sudden aren't allowed in.

    Thanks!

per federal law your condo complex in the usa is required to have a CPO (certified pool operator) in charge of the pool.

this link has all of the information you need to know.

also speak with your local board of health dept.
ask them for any and all of their sanitization rules.

I'm on the board of trustees for a condo association. We have had stool in the pool situations at least twice that I can remember. When we revised our pool rules a few years ago we did some research on the subject of swim diapers and could find no support for them as a foolproof solution. Here is one link that discusses the subject: http://www.cdc.gov/healthywater/swim...wim-pants.html
