Kids in Aruba Jul-Aug?

I am looking for a fun, safe place to bring my kids 5,7,9 yrs. Did Cancun last year, not impressed. What are the best places catering to families that will hopefully allow 5 in a room, that seems to be a problem wherever we try to go. Mid-July to Mid-August is only available time. Last time to Aruba 15 yrs. Before kids. I have heard it has changed quite a bit. Hopefully for the better. Any comments would be appreciated.

Re: Kids in Aruba Jul-Aug?

With 5, you will need a timeshare or 2 rooms. Tamarijn has a family plan for 2nd room cheaper. Kids under 18 stay and eat for free also so may make a 2nd room affordable. See www.megaresorts.com Otherwise, you might want to see Lacabana and get a timeshare rental there. See www.lacabana.com It is a cross the street from the beach but no big deal. Costa Linda is nice too and is on the beach like the Tamarijn. Aruba is very safe all over. Also check timeshares at www.divivillage.com and www.dividutchvillage.com

Re: Kids in Aruba Jul-Aug?

We went last year with our three children (daughters are nine and son is 2). We loved LaCabana. We are returning. It is not the fanciest but it works so well with children, what with the waterslides and dunken Doughnuts, Pizza, etc. on the property. We are returning for 10 days. July 23th-Aug. 3rd and we are staying at the same place.

Hi, we are going to Aruba with our children July 30- Aug 6 and hope to stay at the La cabana. Do you think our 9 and 14 year old will like it there? I worry my teen will be the only teen there. Thanks, Nathalye
