RE: Kids at the Tam?

If you wish to get away from kids for a week, you should stay at Bucuti or Manchebo. They cater to adults and rarely are there any kids to be found at either of those two.

RE: Kids at the Tam?

We stayed at the Tam because we were told that was where most of the kids were. I have to agree. There was an assortment of couples, families and singles. At the Divi, however, I did not see one kid at any time. Whenever we went there for dinner or the shuttle it was all couples (mostly honeymooners).

RE: Kids at the Tam?

The Tam makes itself a good value for families with kids. It's an all-inclusive where kids up to age 17 stay free with a paying adult, this means a lot to folks with kids considering how much kids can eat and drink on any given day. It's a no frills beachside motel type resort so for budget conscious travelers with or without families who don't care about fancy rooms or a fancy pool, just having a good time and enjoying the weather and the water it's a good choice. In other words, yes, there will be kids there, how many depends on the time of year.

RE: Kids at the Tam?

Probably not since the kids in the US are in school that week. Relax and enjoy, it's spread out enough that I'm sure you can find a quiet spot. For the nicest beach area, ask for a room starting in the 1900 block or higher. A bit more of a walk to the restaurants but worth it.

RE: Kids at the Tam?

I emailed the Tam and got bldg.21---is that a good choice? I have read many posts and was thinking maybe if I emailed them I could take care of this in advance. We go Nov.3-10th and I am counting the days! Do wild donkeys and other animals go thru the Tam? That would be so cool! 0

RE: Kids at the Tam?

Hi Again Dianne, No, no wild donkeys roaming through, lots of iguanas though. The best place to get lots of info on the Tam is by reading other guests trip reports. Go here, www.aruba-bb.com
Click on the Trip Reports link.

Whoops, hit 'Post' before I was done!
When you get to the trip reports page, at the top just type in Tamarijn.

RE: Kids at the Tam?

Linda- I am staying at the Tamarin in January and will have 4 kids along with my wife and was curious about getting the best ocean view + whether or not I should ask for 1st or 2nd floor rooms. Any advice?-

Any thing special for the kids that I can tell them about?- I have 2 10 year olds, 12 year and 14 year old. We have been to Aruba before but not the Tam-

Thanks-

Jim
