RE: Kids at the Tam?

Jim-

Most people seem to like the 1900 block or higher for the best beach area. I would suggest the 2100 to 2300 blocks myself. to see pix of Tamarijn and Divi Aruba beach resorts go to www.geocities.com/THEFEEL2002. the surface under the water at Tamarujn is slightly rocky and best to wear water shoes for comfort or go over to the right by 1200 block between the Tamarijn and Divi Aruba for better beach area. Any questions-- e-mail me. I could send you a 3 page description about the resorts.

If you are going with four kids I would definitely try to swing the extra room option. While I loved the Tam and will be returning, the rooms are small and I can't imagine six people in them.

RE: Kids at the Tam?

I agree with Jim and Marcia about the Tam.
And with 4 kids those ages the Tam all-inclusive was a good choice considering how much kids can consume in food and soda on any given day.
The Tam has entertainment every night but for a nice evening away from the resort the kids would probably enjoy the Adventure Miniature Golf Complex, in addition to the golf there's paddle boats, batting cages, a game room and other activities. Enjoy! We'll be there in January also, not at the Tam but just up the beach a little ways.

By the way, just been reading on one of the other bb's that the renovations going on around the public areas and restaurants is still on-going and guests are being given $100 vouchers to eat off the premises some nights if they want to or other little perks to make up for any inconvenience.

RE: Kids at the Tam?

I called to book a trip for Thanksgiving, and I asked about the voucher system. The vouchers are actually $50/ per person. It is good towards a meal at one of eight off-site restaurants OR one of three excursions with DePalm Tours.
