La Cabana

OK, booked La Cabana. I have two children 2 and 3.5. Does La Cabana have activities that children my age can participate in ie. face painting, crafts etc?

I know they have a "Cabana Nana" but my kids are a bit too young to join.
Thanks

Re: La Cabana

Go to the La Cabana website (lacabana.com) and go to the Resort menu and select Kids at La Cabana and choose Daily Scheduled activities. There is face painting, coloring and some craft activities. They may be too young to do the crafts by themselves. My kids were there when they were 3 and 4 - they were so entertained with the pool and small waterslide. The activities were not the main attraction, but helpful when they needed another distraction. When are you going? I am taking my 4,5 and 7 yr olds in March. Can't wait!

Re: La Cabana

Hi Stephanie,

Thanks for the advice. I'll be going mid February. Too bad that our schedules do not align. How are the accomodations at La cababa. Sounds like you have been there a view times. They look nice, but sometimes pictures can be misleading.

Re: La Cabana

Hi - We have stayed in the Villas section. The rooms are large. The kitchen comes in handy for having the kids eat simple meals. We usually have them eat breakfast in the room. We would also feed them something healthy before heading out to a restaurant so they could eat dessert while my husband and I eat dinner. In terms of decoration, the rooms are just ok. We are used to Sheraton/Marriotts in the states and La Cabana is definitely not as nice, but the size and kitchen's convenience makes up for it. If I was going without kids I would stay elsewhere, but La Cabana is great for a family vacation. Hope you have a great trip!

Re: La Cabana

I booked our holiday for March and now that I am reading what everyone has said about Aruba, I am wondering if I should cancel my all inclusive plan at La Cabana? What do you think? And do you think I would be able to cancel?

Thanks for your reply!!!

Re: La Cabana

We have been to Aruba twice (with 3 kids), and we were very nervous about LaCabana. The number one reason is it was so reasonable. Our next concern was the all inclusive because we couldnt imagine not having it on any of our trips to Mexico. We opted not to and it was the best decision. LaCabana's restaurants are fine...but over priced and there are many within walking distance that are much better and a better value. I would definitely cancel your all inclusive Tulips is next door and very reasonable. Suisse Chalet is a couple doors down and has an awesome early bird and their regular menu is about the same as LaCabana and much better than any in LaCabana. We walked to Dunkin Doughnuts (on LaCabana) and cooked a lot of breakfast in the room. I would never get the all inclusive at LaCabana...and I love all inclusives just not here.
