madame janette?

I was just wondering if anyone has gone to Madame Janette with kids? We're going to Aruba for the first time next week w/ our (usually well-behaved) 15-month-old and would love to try it.

Absolutely!!! If you sit outside in the garden area - the lights and live music would certainly keep your toddler entertained!!

Re: madame janette?

We are going with our soon-to-be 3-year old and 17 month old. I would not bring them to Madame Janette's. My girls are normally good in restaurants but not for more than an hour without some sort of entertainment. We have gone to El Gaucho when our daughter was 1. They have a children's play room and strolling musicians. The Buccaneer has a huge aquarium. Salt n Pepper or the other restaurants in the Arawak Garden area have music outside. We go to dinner as soon as the restaurant opens and don't "dine". I don't think it's fair to expect a toddler or pre-schooler to sit still through a long dining experience. JMHO

Oops! I forgot to mention. Places on the beach are good for little ones too!

Hi. Madame Jeanette's is probably one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. There is plenty of outside seating. While we didn't travel with our toddler last year, we will be taking her this year and can't wait to go back. The food is excellent but the atmospere is not stuffy.

Re: madame janette?

I agree with Carey. Also, Madame Janette is not a long and drawn out dining experience. It can be as long or as short as you want it to be. As long as you bring stuff for you child to do like you would in any other restaurant, you'll be fine. We've been bringing our kids to nice restaurants since they were babies. If they ever "acted up" we took them outside just as we would any other place. You go to Madame Janette and have a wonderful meal!!!

I have taken my kids here many times without a problem. In fact they were very accomodating.

Hi, I am leaving saturday 7, at 6h30AM from Montreal to Aruba. My friends went to madame Jeanette, it is a must!! but she does not remember where it is! Can someone give me the adress or an idea before I leave. I am late, but I just discover this forum wich is great by the way. I will go back on it tonight and I will probably find it there, if I don't have any answer. Thanks!!
