My wife and I just found out we are expecting and will be unable to use our new timeshare at the Marriott Aruba Surf Club. Therefore, we have decided to rent it out for the upcoming 2004 season.

It is a brand new timeshare that is being built now and will be ready to open in the spring of 2004.

The timeshare is very flexible. Here are some options.
- The first week available for rent is Friday, July 2nd, all the way through to Sunday, Dec 12th.
- Its for 7 days and the person/group can fly in from Friday to Friday, Sat to Sat or Sun to Sun.
- Its a 2 bedroom suite that sleeps 8 (2 beds and 2 pull out couches).
- It can be split if needed to a 1 bedroom with a suite that sleeps 4 and a hotel style room that sleeps 4.

I would rent the 2 bedroom for $2200
I would rent the 1 bedroom with the suite for $1600
I would rent the 1 bedroom/hotel style for $1200.

Average room rates to rent through an Aruba Marriott Timeshare are:
$2700 for the 2 bedroom
$2000 for 1 bedroom with the suite
$1750 for the 1 bedroom/hotel style

I appreciate your concern but the Marriott Aruba Surf Club is just about all booked up for the entire year from the time it opens in July until Dec.

Marriott told me they should have the Surf club finished a few months before it opens in July.

What unit are you holding and have they guaranteed that your particular 2 bedroom unit will be completed for occupancy on 7/2?
I am asking because we may be interested in that week. I have been told by the Marriott timeshare people(today) that portions of the Surf Club will be opened but not necessarily all units. Also, you should know you are competing with their promotional rates that offer 5 days/4 nights (with additional nights purchase) for an outrageously low price so long as one and one's spouse sits through a time sharing purchase presentation.
