Has anyone used a babysitter at the marriott. We are going with a 8 month old and may like to get out for dinner alone one night and maybe spend some time in the casino.

Also, does anyone know if you can request cribs and high chairs there?

I personally have not, but I do know they get women from outside the hotel that also go to the Hyatt and Radisson. I am sure they are reputable. For the older kids I know they can leave the room with them and walk around, but they are not allowed to leave the hotel property. Go and enjoy yourself! Regarding cribs, every hotel I have ever stayed out when my kids were babies had cribs. Just make sure you request ahead of time. As far as high chairs, I am pretty sure restaurants have them. Aruba is a family island. Have a great time!

HI, I know they have cribs, we reserved one too. Met with a family last year who said the cribs are fine. We have not used a babysitter as we bring my two stepsons who are 15 and 13. We'll be there the same time you are with a 16mos old girl. Look for us at the pool! Donna

Vicky, we have never requested a babysitter as we travel with my stepsons who are teens. The hotel does have cribs. You should request one before you leave. We have a 16 mos old daughter and we'll be there the same week as you. Say hi to us at the kiddie pool! Donna

To cag129--If your post is in response to my message, let me explain...My message wasn't to Vicky regarding her question. Someone else had responded and left a very nasty response to Vicky and to BP and I was just trying to bring it to the webmasters attention in their defense. The nasty post was up there for a few days and I thought it should have been removed. It has since been taken off.

I have the number of the babysitter we used last october she was great. We got her through the marriott and I have 2 kids at the time they were 2 and 14 months ... I would be happy to give you her number privately

We were there in January with three children and made use of the Bon Bini kids club during the day several times. One of the girls who works at the kids club offered babysitting but we didn't need it because we had my mother with us for our nights out. If you don't have any luck you may want to check at the kids club or with the concierge. Good Luck you will love the Mariott!
