they do great work with the animals. the enclosures are in good shape and the animals have access to shade.
i would imagine that it is difficult getting good/experienced vet care for some of the exotic animals. (giraffes and others)

    the expenses are mind boggling.
they need a benefactor with deep pockets.

    re: the go fund me
i am wondering why it was started by an employee and not the owner?
I was wondering about the same. But when I read that Mark Purcell manages the Facebook and trip advisor postings, I thought he is more into the internet than the owner. Just a thought.

Here is the excerpt from the page:

My name is Mark; I have lived in Aruba for over 15 years. I currently help operate the refreshment center at Philips Animal Garden and manage the Facebook and trip advisor postings for Philips Animal Garden. During my time here in Aruba I have been involved with many of the animal rescue organizations in one fashion or another, from raising money for a cat hotel to helping catch the invasive boas to rescuing street dogs to fostering more than 13 cats at one time. Of all the groups I have interacted with Philips Animal Garden is doing the work that no one else can or will do.
