restaurants for kids

hi, I am a mother of 4 kids and we will be going to aruba in march! (spring break)
What are some kid friendly restaurants? My kids ages are 8,6,3, & 18 months. We will be there for 10 days and probably will be taking the kids with us out to dinner each night, excluding maybe 2 nights. We don't want food to became a conflict everynight. Yet, I do realize there are adult-like restaurants, but does anyone know of any restaurants kids 8 and under would like?!
I would appreciate if some people can respond.
Thanks so much!
Sincerely,
Jill

Re: restaurants for kids

My daughter was four when we went. She is a very picky eater and I did not have problems anywhere we went. Restaurants without childrens menues will accomodate your child with anything for a very reasonable price. I do not think I paid over 5 dollars for a meal for my daughter when we were there.

We ate at Madame Janettes, El Gaucho, Alfredo's, French Steakhouse, Iguana joes, and Salt n Pepper. My Daughter ate most of her meal at all of these restuarants.

Re: restaurants for kids

Hi Jill,

I took my 4 there too last oct, It was the best vacation!
We didnt do fancy. But IMO you can take the kids anywhere, just go earlier.aruba caters to the kids.
IMO, though- Me personally? I wouldnt go to the flying fishbone, but I would go just about anywhere! My kids loved Tony Roma's & Pizza Bob's for pizza ( we did delivery twice)...It was great for those nights when everyone is exhausted, and you want a quick bite to eat.

enjoy

Re: restaurants for kids

Well being a dad myself I have to say vacationing in Aruba is great, My children are ages 8,5,2 and I have been to Aruba at least 15 years and my childrens favorites are Pizza Hut, Blossoms at Wyndham (they love Sushi)and the Buccaneer restaurant(ask to be seated at large aqauriums) we eat here 3 out of 7 days, resonable prices and great food, If your children love meat order the Pirates cutlas its served on a sword and my sons lovvvvve it or the half chicken that they split and their favorite which is not on the menu but order it anyway is the pasta alfredo mmmmmmm, My daughter is picky so we get her chicken nuggets and fish sticks and she loves tomatoes, olive salad and they make it special for her. Try it We love it and are kids even more!! Children friendly restaurant.

El Gaucho has great accomodations. They have a guitarist that gets everyone going. Last year they had a T.V and some video games set up on the first floor.

Re: restaurants for kids

Are all the mentioned restaurants available for walk in, or are reservations recommended?

Re: restaurants for kids

Most restaurants are available for walk in. And all will accommodate kids. But, when traveling with the younger people, I suggest reservations so you can get what I call "preferred seating" and the kids can be comfortable.
Madame Jeanette is very busy and would probably require reservations.
At El Gaucho it would be handy if you are not seated too far from the special kids room, please make reservations.
La Terraza, Iguana Joe's, Smokey Joe's and Linda's pancake house - also recommended!
Champions Sports Bar has lots of TV's, photos of sports greats on walls and a game room right in front of the restaurant.
Palms Restaurant at Hyatt is practically on the beach and also nice for the kids, you can sit outside on the terrace while the older ones enjoy shuffleboard.
Our experience: Chez Mathilde, L.G. Smith's, Tuscany and a few others are more adult oriented, but usually very accommodating as well.
