Sounds like teens have a great time in the summer. My 17 year old son may go with me in October. He is really into "chicks" and the big teenage scene. Will it be fun in October?

I was there in October once and there wern't many kids at all. They are all in school. You son will still have fun in Aruba but would find more "chicks" during late June- early Sept.

I was in aruba the whole summer, from May to Aug. and I had a blast. I will highly recomend that for your teen let him go to carlos n' charles there he will find many girls of his age... I have family there so I will also recomend Jolly Pirates and Adam Steinfeilds magic live at the alhambra casino. Well I hope you enjoy your stay at the one happy island Aruba.

have him go to moomba beach bar on the weekend, if its a full moon watch out!! also i agree carlos and charlies is a good bet,and the black hog saloon, bbq party tuesday and thursday!hey just ask around the hotels where all the kids hangout every one is so friendly he will have a blast!!any more questions feel free to email me!!

Is it considered safe for older teenage girls to go out on their own?

My parent's started taking me to Aruba when I was 19. It is pretty safe if they stay together. The local boys are generally very nice but, as with any tourist region, there are those who will try to take advantage of them. I have found that boys consistently linger in the path between the ladies room and the pub at Mambo Jambos so I recommend that they accompany one another to the restroom. If walking the beach at night, they will most likely be offered marijuanna but a simple "no" will do and these folks will leave them alone. As an FYI, the local teens do not go out until approximately 11pm. It is generally a safer bet to go to Carlos and Charlies as it is busy earlier especially when there is a cruise ship in town. Do advise them to stay off of the docks behind Carlos and Charlies. Overall, the island is very safe if they just keep their heads about them.

can someone tell me what Carlos and Charlies is? thanks..... we're visting over new years with our 3 kids (18, 7 & 9) Its our first trip to Aruba!
