Pool and Beach and other kids !!!!

Have been bringing to grandsons(and daughter) to Aruba for many years. Between the pool, beach, other kids; they have a ball. Tell them to bring game boy with games as best way to make friends. Some resorts have bowling and pizza parties for the kids. Check where staying first day and sign them up and you will have some free time. Last June daughter took both grandsons on the banana boat and they loved that. The ones out of the La Cabana area do wear life jackets. At Adventure Golf they have Bumper Boats. Also Italian Restaurant there which they liked. Wife and I usually eat elsewhere(Driftwood) that night.

Re: Things to do w/ kids

Aside from whatever kids programs are provided by the resorts, there is not a whole lot of activities geared specifically for young kids. The pool and the beach will probably be the main draw. Aside from that, as Tom mentioned, there is Adventure Golf (miniature golf), don't know it's open during the daylight hours but you'd want to go in the evening anyway, too hot during the day.
In that complex are the bumper boats, a game room & go-carts. The butterfly farm up by the Wyndham, go in the morning when the butterflies are most active and before the heat of the day sets in. Perhaps they'd enjoy the Atlantis Sub Ride. Also downtown is a movie theatre that usually has at least one movie geared for kids, there's also a drive-in theatre out past the airport which might be a fun evening experience for them since you can't hardly find one here in the states anymore. If you want to take them on a snorkeling trip, The Octopus is good for kids, they take less people and are good with kids.

Re: Things to do w/ kids

went last aug with my sons 11, 8, 6 they loved the beach and the pool, banana boat, snorkeling on the pirate ship. Also at the marriott they put out lettuce for the lizards everyday at 11 my kids went to feed them everyday. Dont really need to worry about evening they are so beet from the beach all day they are usually sleeping by dusk. When we did the banana boat and tubing we used the company right on the marriott beach, very friendly and helpful. My 11 year old also went parasailing with his dad and absolutely loved it. Wish we were going again have a great time.

Re: Things to do w/ kids

My son is 10 and he had a great time on the banana boats and the tube rides. He thought the butterfly tour was boring. He loved the Safari tour around the island. If you do this tour bring a hat, towell, water and a snack. Lots of lotion and do not wear any thing white.
Regards
Mike
