Traveling with 5 kids

Hi,

My husband and I visited Aruba in 2003 and absolutely loved it. We want to share this incredible island with all of the children (12, 8, 5, 4 and 11 months). We have birth certificates for all of course but do not have "valid" picture ID's. Are they needed to travel from the US? I don't have a clue where I'd get a "valid" picture ID of the 3 youngest unless we do passports and we really don't want to deal with that paperwork and expense presently.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Dana

Wow Dana you got me beat by one child!!

Have a blast with all the kids!
I am not sure ABOUT the picture id question, If I am not mistaken the kids do not require a picture!

You don't need a valid photo id for the little ones. Just their birth certificate, but as of December this year you will need passports. (was not sure if you knew that or not)

All will need passports after 12/31/05. Birth certificates for under 16 (or 18 maybe) are good for now.

Re: Traveling with 5 kids

Thank you to all who responded. I knew the passport requirement was changing as of 12/31/05 but was unsure about the photo id's for the kids. We are all very excited --- we will be in Aruba for a week in Sept.

Thanks Again,
Dana

Re: Traveling with 5 kids

We got photo ID's at the secretary of State office (where you get your drivers licence) for the kids. They were not much money, they look sharp, we felt safer, made checking in at the airport a breeze. Our nephew 13, was required to have one when he flew with the boy scouts.

Hello, I'm the new kid on the block. We may be going to Aruba in Jan and we will be traveling with a 22 month old any tips so we can prepare or plan another stop. How is the food ? Have you gottena babysitter at the resort ? I'm alittle afraid after that girl was reported missing from holidays ( then theyar esaying it' s the parents ) just looking for some first time tips ( traveling with a baby) . Looking forward what you have to share.
