Easter is great in Aruba, we go every year. Eagle Beach (where you will be) will be full of families camping out, activities, music, lots of action. My first time I was worried it would take away from the relaxing beach, but there are still plenty of quiet spots to be found. It's a cool thing to see/experience.

One tip, go to the store right away and buy your supplies. The stores have limited hours on Good Friday, Holy Saturday and I believe are closed Easter Sunday.
We get there on the 25th of March, cannot wait!
Thanks for this tip! We are
    Arriving 24th (it was cheaper
For us to fly Thursday to Thursday)- will hit the
    Store that
Thursday! I read about the camping-
    Hope we still
    Have some space!

They were renovating all the rooms last year at Tropicana. Not sure if it was completed but you might get lucky and get a newly renovated unit. i heard that they are very spacious units.

Cathi, how did you find the $30 deal, was it on Southwest vacations, or after you booked your flights? I checked a few dates we are interested in and the lowest I could find was $99, still not bad. Just curious if I need to look a different way. At that price we might be able to sneak in a trip..maybe.

Off topic...would love to hear how you spent your day in Aruba from the cruise. If you have a chance maybe write in the My Aruba story section?
7 trips in and still finding things to love. #8 will be great in November!

$30 a night is amazing. And for a 2 bedroom. WOW. I have a friend that got $80 (or $88) a night next month. I thought that was a great deal.
Before I bought my 1 bedroom units at Trop, I stayed in a 2 bedroom. Besides the extra bedroom the 2 bedrooms have 2 bathrooms and a washer & dryer in the unit.

Not sure of what units have been renovated but if you are not satisfied with the condition of the unit, contact the front desk immediately and ask if there is another unit available. I have never had a problem with the cleanliness of any of my units. Housekeeping does a great job. The 2 pools are great (swim-up bar/waterslide pool and waterfall pool): Everyone that works at Trop are very incommoding.

I am with Tracey, the prices are so attractive it makes me want to try and squeeze in another trip and I am broke, lol. I have seen the Trop at $99 which is still very inexpensive, I have seen the Mill at $90, and the HI for $140, all great bargains if you ask me.

I chose June 28th - July 6, show up $30.00 per night for all the rooms.. so I selected two bedroom suite..
Then I went on trip advisor and saw one from another site..
This was the other day... called southwest to make sure and yes they said it was. Called the hotel to confirm the reservation and yes. Ask for a newer room and they will try their best and put me down for one..
So now its time for the air flights.. I had enough for everyone to fly home on my rewards. Paid the early bird.
Next was the flight getting there... used my son's rewards (no he has no idea) for his way... and just had to pay for Lou and me.
All total it end up being about $700.00 for everything...
Really surprise cause that was the price earlier this morning too, but just check and see it is gone.'

I just went under tripadvisor tropicana resort Aruba and there is a link for $30.-- yes, I am also broke, but just could not pass up the deal. Guess I won't drink any coffee out for the next months. lol

I'm seeing it now. Funny thing if you just put in 2 adults, it won't come up but when I put in 4, I see rooms for $30 even for dates in April.
