RE: ALLEGRO LOVERS PLEASE RESPOND ONLY

first off the "Allergo" is not a 5 star hotel is falls in the 2-3 star rating. And if you happen to like mold, mildew, rusted mini fridg, water stains on the ceiling, carpeting that was uplifting and stained and bathrooms with big chips missing out of the bath tub then painted white and rusted fawcett handles then the Allergo is the place for you.
When the Allergo use to be the Americana it was allot better, the hotel changed since the Allergo bought it out, the staff is rude and unhelpful.

RE: ALLEGRO LOVERS PLEASE RESPOND ONLY

a - You asked for some positive feedback on the Allegro? Well here it is. The Allegro is "positively" a "dump". First of all, the Allegro is NOT a 5* hotel, and never was. The rooms are in desperate need of repair (signs of mold, stained carpeting, broken furniture, rust stains in the bathrooms, etc.). You may only dine at Caruso's (order from menu) once during a 7-day stay. The other days you have to eat at the buffet (same repetitive food every day) and it gets rather boring. If you are in the right age group (20s - mid-30s)and go there without expecting too much, you will probably have a good time. If you like to party and drink until you drop, then this is the place for you. I can think of far better resorts in Aruba to spend my hard-earned money at, but go with "whatever rocks your boat".

RE: ALLEGRO LOVERS PLEASE RESPOND ONLY

We just got back from a week at the Allegro and it was great. I dont know what you people are talking about because we did not have any of those things you mentioned. We had a very clean room, food was awesome, and people were very friendly an helpful. And yes it is a 5 star hotel for those of u who dont know what your taling about. What would be your idea of one of the good hotels??? Maybe you should learn how to read before you respond. A asked for positive feedback, not your bunch two cents worth. Get a life !!!!!!

RE: ALLEGRO LOVERS PLEASE RESPOND ONLY

To A ,why are they rude ? they are telling you the truth,If I was going on vacation and staying there I would want to know the truth about the place I was going to stay in, if you are used to rust stains, and a room that is in need of desparate need of repairs I guess this wont bother you or your spouse, and if you want a buffet all week ,instead of going to all the other great places for dinner, and to Loreeann there is no positive feed back that any one could possibly give if they did they would be lying, also that is No five Star Hotel, you have No taste in hotels either Loreeann.

RE: ALLEGRO LOVERS PLEASE RESPOND ONLY

At least we know what we are talking about. These message boards are so full of crap, i went to visitaruba.com and got real advice and feedback from people who really stayed there, and yes....i have looked into 3 vacation planner magazines, and they too, rate the allegro a 5 star hotel....not a 2 or a 3.

Misery loves company.........

RE: ALLEGRO LOVERS PLEASE RESPOND ONLY

Loreeann,

Calling someone a jerk is very low class and immature, you don't call someone names because they give their opinion of something and that you do not agree with.

Second, the "Allergo" is NOT a 5 star hotel. You people are greatly mis-informed.

I have been going to Aruba for over 15 years now and I can name half of dozen places that are wonderful to stay and are a 5 star hotel. But since you and A like the Allergo so much then you should probably stay with what your accustom to, a place that is in your budget.

The Marriott and Hyatt and the Sonesta are in the range of a 5 Star rating.

I agree with George, as in my quote about the Allergo, the rooms are in desperate need of remodeling and maintenance and your better off getting a better meal at Wendy's.

And your the "jerk" for calling someone a jerk.
