Aruba Grand

My husband and I are planning on staying at the Aruba Grand in August. We were wanting to get peoples opinions of this place who have stayed here. If anyone could give me any ideas how nice this place is. Does it have a nice pool. We will be staying in a Superior oceanview room. Are they very nice? Please help. We are thinking about booking here tomorrow since we saw a ggod deal on Expedia. Also, is there any fast food or cheap places to eat within walking distance and is the beach nice? Thanks Jill

Re: Aruba Grand

Jill,
Go to www.aruba-bb.com and ask your question there. There is a lady, ~Amy~, who is a moderator on that board and she has stayed there. She has even posted pictures and I believe she has even been there recently. I KNOW she will answer any questions you have about the Aruba Grand.

Re: Aruba Grand

My friend is there right now on her 4th trip in the past couple of years...she loves it. Last time they got some sort of private little suite with its own little patio - I may not be explaining it properly...I think its a timeshare type that regular guests can get. Anyway, she LOVES that hotel...I passed it when we were there in April - they have a nice pool - looks like a very quiet, low-key place - the balconies in regular room are tiny - can only stand on them. The beach is not crowded and the hotel is within reasonable walking distance to restaurants. Enjoy

Re: Aruba Grand

Jill,

We just got back from staying at the Aruba Grand. It is a nice hotel, nice staff, and beautiful beach and pool area. This hotel is nothing fancy though. The lower lobby is being renovated. The main lobby area is a bit dated. We stayed in an oceanfront superior room. It is beautiful. I understand that they recently renovated the 7th and 8th floor rooms which is where we were. We were very happy with the room. The week we were there was very quiet, which we enjoyed. There are many restaurants within walking distance. You'll love Aruba!

Re: Aruba Grand

If you want a coffee maker you need to upgrade to a deluxe room. Check out the web site and it lists the extras in the deluxe package that might be worth the upgrade.
We' looking at the Grand also. Let me know how you stay was. Thanks.
