Just wondering if anyone has stayed at the Aruba Grand before. Any thought or opinions?

Been staying at the Grand every year for at least one of our weeks in Aruba (going on our 12th trip to Aruba for 16 days on Sept. 15th.)

When we stay at the Grand we always book a lanai room. But the Deluxe rooms (7th & 8th floors) are really nice since they've just been re-done.

It's not a fancy place but it's also not crowded at all since it's a smaller hotel than most on Palm Beach. Has one of the best beaches on Palm Beach. It's quiet there (which we love) but everything is in within walking distance (other hotels, casinos, bars, restaurants, etc.) if you're looking for more activity.

we stayed at the Grand last year over Christmas week and loved it enough to go back this year. it's not overly fancy but it is very clean, pretty and the staff is great. it's a plain but big pool but we didn't care since we love the ocean. it's a great part of the beach and it is very large so we never felt crowded. getting the palapas (huts) IS a problem unless you want to spend $50 a day to reserve one. the beach staff is great and will always get the lounges set up for you! we only had one meal there-lunch which was fine. it is so very easy to get around to all the other hotels from there. good luck! sue

Thank you for the reply. I'm going there on my honeymoon. It sounds like it will be exactly what I'm looking for. We did get a Deluxe room so hopefully we will enjot it.
