Re: Aruba Grand Resort and Casino

Hi CS,
I'll be there with my wife and another couple the same time as you. I'm looking forward to peace and quiet. If I want a party I can go next door. This forum just reinforces my decision to go to the Grand. Have a great time.

Oh My Gosh I have read so many mixed reviews about the grand I am a little scared. We are going there in Oct. We won the trip off of Live with Regis and Kelly. I am going to try to go in with a good vibe.

Re: Aruba Grand Resort and Casino

We stayed at the Aruba Grand in February and had seen much of the same posted on this board about this hotel - that it was for old people and that it was too quiet! We are in our early 50's and found it to be great! The week we were there the hotel was full - in fact, they had overbooked and had to send some people to the Wyndham. We stayed on the 4th floor of the hotel for 4 nights and then moved to a lanai for our last 3 nights. the room on the 4th floor was beautiful - everything new and updated! the lanai was not yet redone but with the beautiful balcony to have coffee on in the morning and cocktails at night, we found it to be perfect. the beach was never crowded and there was no waiting on lines to get a lounge chair. The staff and the manager, Richard, were all wonderful! Maybe the Aruba Grand is quieter than the other hotels along Palm Beach but when you go on vacation, who wants to deal with crowds and noise. We would go back there in a second. We ate at the restaurant there one evening also and the food was great. i would recommend this hotel to anyone!

I also like the Aruba Grand very much. I always have a wonderful week there. I only wish it could be kept a secret.

Re: Aruba Grand Resort and Casino

We are staying at the Occidental in less than 2 weeks and have read mixed reviews. Is there any truth to reviews that says the rooms are on the same level as a Motel 6? Some websites give it 2 stars and some give it 4 stars. Any tips to help us get a good room?

thanks!
