Aruba House

Anyone stayed at Aruba house?

I am considering staying here and I would love some feedback about it. Is the beach nice? Right out the door or how far away? How close to the casinos?

What is your overall opinion?

Thanks for your help!!!

Re: Aruba House

Have you checked out www.arubahouse.com ? His site has more info than ANY I've ever seen! Great pictures, etc., the owner has always come across on here as very honest & helpful. If we could afford it, we'd try it!

Re: Aruba House

Having seen the house from the outside it appears to be as advertised. However, you should know that it is somewhat removed from the high rise hotels and has little or no beach across the road.It is in a section of malamok that caters to the wind surfers. If you like a pool vs. beach and ocean and like solitude than this would work for you !

Re: Aruba House

Martin,

I would have a car if you plan on traveling from the Aruba House to the Casinos. It is at least a mile or so. But I would think that if you are staying at a private residence that you would need a car to get around anyway.

The house is quite large. It looks like you have already seen their web page. There are no surprises. The house is as it is portrayed. Very nice that each bedroom has a private entrance and exit to the pool.

The outdoor bar area even has running water and a refrigerator. Saves from having to go far for the next refreshment. There is also a gas grill for enjoying your own creations at home. Again, saves having to have every meal out. The grocery stores are easy to navigate. Anneke was kind enough to pick up a few neccessities at the grocery store before we arrived so that we wouldn't be coming in to an empty house. We just reimbursed her when we got there. We e-mailed her a short list before we left.

This year she is even renting our vehicle and cell phones for us. The deal that she got is very compariable to any I have seen on the web.

There is also a maid that comes in daily to clean. There is a washer and dryer at the house - so you can even clean some clothes if needed. The maid even washed our clothes for us if we were in the middle of washing. We would come back to clean and folded clothes. I don't know that this is part of the service - but what a pleasant surprise!

Hope this helps.

Holly

Re: Aruba House

As the owner of Arubahouse I will be happy to supply references of people who have stayed there. We have many repeat guests each year and many referrals by people who have stayed at our house. I can also mail interested people a detailed video of our house if they are interested in seeing a boring home movie of every inch of the place.

Holly,
Thanks for your kind remarks, Come on back.
Hugh
