Which is Better: Radisson, Wyndham or Radisson?

I'll be vacationing in Aruba for 5 days in early October. Which of these properties are the best (pool, room, service)?
THANKS!

Seeing as you listed the Radisson twice, maybe you answered your own question!

Re: Which is Better: Radisson, Wyndham or Radisson?

I would say most people would rate them in this order.

Mariott, Radison, Wyndham.
the costs would go in the same order pretty much.

We stayed at the Wyndham but ate in and visited the other hotels also. If we went back we'd prob stay in the Wyndham again just becuase it's a really nice hotel but at a better value than the other two.

You can't go wrong with any of the above.

Re: Which is Better: Radisson, Wyndham or Radisson?

Hi, I just came back from a week stay in aruba...I stayed at Radisson (RD). The pros of RD are best * best beach area w/great pool, beach waiters, decent service, and surprisingly, very good food at the laguna grill and sunset grill restaurants...I was very impressed with the food b/c my experience is that normally hotel food is not good. We got a great hotel rate 169usd for garden view..but ended up getting upgraded to a higher room w/a balcony.

However, I found our room very run down, VERY dark, very small (especially bath) and the smell of mold permeated our hotel room and entire building our room was located in. I've been to other beach front hotels in the Caribbean, etc. and never experienced the lingering mold smell. I did not find aruba to be humid so I was surprised about the overpowering mold smell in our building b/c the building is not an open air type (like their lobby).

I would not stay at the wyndham..it looked very run down and it's beach wasn't as nice as the radisson, allegro, hyatt, stretch. It's beach was not as crowded, but I personally did not care for the beach and pool area I saw...it looks more like a 2-3 star...definitely not 4-star

I did not see the inside of the marriott, but when I walked by on the beach it did not look that great? I did not like the area that the beach was in...mixed in w/ a bunch of economy (level) hotels where the beach was run down, had more trash, etc. I heard from others down there that the rooms at the Hyatt are the best, the beach and pool and radisson are the best...and in my experience, the casino at the allegro was the most lively...radisson casino was more low-key...

If you stay in that stretch, I found you can pretty much walk into any of the hotels and use their pools/beach/casino...good luck, it was wonderful down there...bring lots of sunscreen (especially for the first few days) - nl

Here's a few other things I gathered when down there..
I heard from others down there the rooms at the hyatt are best

Aruba is a VERY humid island...in all my trips I have never been there when there has NOT been a humid day.

Re: Which is Better: Radisson, Wyndham or Radisson?

I just got back from my honeymoon at the Radisson and would rate them Rad, Marriott, Wyndham just by the external appearances, beach and pools (since I didn't see the other two's rooms). According to travel books, the Rad has the nicest rooms on the island since their rennovation. Our room was gorgeous, large and had a beautiful view of the ocean (we stayed in the Curaco building). I never noticed a moldy smell. Plus we were right in the middle of Palm Beach. As for the Marriott, their grounds weren't quite as nice and they are at the farthest end of the beach. It definitely seemed more kid friendly there and less elegant. The Wyndham's beach was depressing to be honest, very sparse and rocky. Their pool and grounds were more run down than either of the other two but still nice. I'm sure you would enjoy any of them as they are all nicer than Holiday Inn and the like, but we would definitely return to the Radisson again!!
