BUCUTI?

I've seen some great reviews on other sites, but it isnt mentioned much here. Anyone have any experiences to share about Bucuti?

Re: BUCUTI?

Small, quaint hotel on a quiet stretch of beach away from the larger hi rise hotels. Great place for a vacation.

Re: BUCUTI?

Best place to stay in Aruba. But, if your not into a great beach, sleeping til 9AM and having your choice of a beach hut, beachside service, peace and quite, and not to mention the best and friendliest staff on the island, then this is not your place to stay. Will be checking in on June 10/04 for 10 days in the new tara suites.

Re: BUCUTI?

My wife and I just returned from our honeymoon at Bucuti(5/3-5/8). This is a great hotel, we stayed in the Tara wing and all the rooms have a fantastic view of the ocean. The beach is fabulous. Very large with plenty of beach huts available any time of the day. The location is between downtown and the highrise area. We chose only the breakfast plan since we planned to dine out. We did have a honeymoon diner on the beach at sunset at the Pirate's Nest and the food was great.
From talking to cab drivers and area residents, the beaches at the high rise hotels are thin little stips compared to the bucuit beach and beach huts are scarce.
The currents at the high rise area are always going away from shore v. Bucuti where they roll into shore for nice relaxing waves.
We would like to return to Aruba and when we do it will be at Bucuti.
