Lightbulb Budget accomodation in Oranjestad for 1 person (short stay)

    Hello guys,

I hope, my question wasnt' asked somewhere else before. Didn't find anything.

Actually Aruba doesn't seem to be a backpackers country, like all the accomodations I can found in the web are above my budget. I would like to spend 3 nights in Oranjestad beginning on the 06.12..

Are there any cheap hotels or hostels on the island, which provide cheap accomodations? At least under $40-50 per night? I don't need many luxury. Just a bed and a roof above my head. Wifi would be nice, too.
And is it possible to arrive in Aruba without having booked some hotel and try to get one there? Or isn't that a good idea? I read camping is not possible?

    Hope to get helpful responses.

    Thanks!

welcome to the aruba.com community forum
i really cannot think of anything in your budget.
you might try looking into Talk of the Town hotel.
MVC Eagle Beach hotel is on Eagle Beach, is very basic and has no frills.
But, that is above your range too i think.
    Check them out though.

you also may want to contact Sensitive Hikers Aruba.
they do a lot of hiking tours. i do not think though they do backpacking.
