Hello,
My friends and I are staying at the Caribbean Palm Village July 6th through the 13th, how far is the beach from us, how is it staying there, and can anyone tell us, are rental cars hard to find? Also, what is the taxi service like?

Thanks for the input, we have a two bedroom two bath condo.

It's at least a mile to the beach so you'll either need car or taxi (not sure if the bus is an option from CPV). The crowd will be older and more quiet.

There are plenty of car rental agencies on Aruba. And taxi's as well. CPB used to, and maybe still does have a courtesy van that takes you back & forth to whichever resort it is where you'll have beach priviledges, meaning you can use the huts and lounge chairs. I forget which resort it is. It's probably much easier though to have a car so you can come and go as you please.

I am sure you will have a great time in Aruba...If you can try to go to the Flying Fishbone or Avalone's for dinner. They are both Italian/Seafood restaurants and are wonderful. At the Flying Fishbone you eat at a candle-lit table right on the sand with the water lapping at your feet..and it is quite an experience... try to go around sunset time. Avalones is a quiet italian restaurant in the downtown area and the food is phenomenal! Have fun!!!

we own a time-share at c.p.v. this will be our 5th trip. your about 1-mile from the beaches. car rentl's are rite across from the airport,there's about10 rental's all with in a few dollar's of each other. taxi' are about5-10 per person. get a car in5 min's you'll know the whole island
