We are going to Aruba and we will be staying at the Casa Del Mar and i need some info on the place. Has anyone stayed here recently? I need to make sure this place is nice we will be celebrating our anniversery there.

CDM is located midway between downtown Oranjestad and the hi-rise area, about a 5 minute ride to either. Just across the parking lot is Alhambra Casino and some small shops including a phone shop where you call home for 60 cents a minute. A nice restaurant is on site called Calypso and within minutes you can also walk to The French Steakhouse at Manchebo & The Pirates Nest at Bucuti. It's a small well maintained resort with a nice pool area and if you enjoy beach walks you can go for long ones in either direction. There are several stores on site including a mini-market for small food purchases. The one-bedroom units are not directly on the beach but across a narrow road and a quick walk away. The two-bedroom units are right on the beach. If you have a confirmed room number you can find your location on the room layout on the CDM website....or repost and I'll tell you where you'll be.

we stayed there this Feb during President's Week and it was our first time there not our first time in Aruba. We stayed in a 1 bedroom across the street so each morning at 5:45 am I walked across the street to the very clean pool to get a great beach hut, which protected me from the sun. I didnt get brunt. This is a small resort and it was clean and nice friendly people were there. Great location too with stores around foor early morning coffee and bagels.
