CasaDelMar- Rm #1334

Hi! Can anyone tell me anything about this hotel and this room there? Does it have a balcony? Any view? If so, what? Is there an elevator? Is the pool area crowded or quiet? Is the beach nice? Wide? Any good restaurants? Do we need to take an adaptor or converter for a hairdryer? ANY info. would be GREATLY appreciated!!! Thanks, Judy

You are on the pool & ocean side, its right
on the water not a wide beach but if you
walk down the beach it widens nicely.
It has an elevator with a large balcony.
There are plenty of restaurants nearby.
Electric is like the USA.

3rd floor with balcony in the Ambassador Wing across a small parking lot from the main beachfront building. Ambassador Wing has it's own small pool but it's only a 60 second walk over to the main larger pool and another 30 seconds from there down to the beach. The beach changes a couple of times a year depending on Mother Nature, sometimes it's very wide other times narrower. Yes, there's an elevator and a nice beachfront restaurant on-site called Calypso that serves a nice breakfast buffet for $8.00 and also has a nice lunch and dinner menu. You also have beach & pool priviledges at Aruba Beach Club which is attached by a corridor to Casa. The corridor has a mini-mart and other small stores. You can also quickly walk to French Steakhouse at Manchebo Resort, Pirates Nest at Bucuti Resort and the restaurant at Costa Linda. Also a very short walk to Dunkin Donutes & a Dushi Bagel stand in the driveway area that serves good breakfast & lunch sandwiches. No adaptor needed.

Forgot to say you can see pictures of the inside of the Ambassador Wing Units on the CDM website as well as the building layout with room numbers so you'll know where that unit is located within the building. On the 3rd floor it's possible you might have a view over the buildings across the way and be able to see some of the sea but not 100% sure of that. www.casadelmar-aruba.com then click on Ambassador.

How would one compare the Casa del Mar to other resorts in the area, say Manchebo?

Casa del Mar is a time-share resort so you're staying in a one floor apartment type unit with bedroom/living room/dining area & fully equipped kitchen. (the one-bedrooms have one bathroom the 2 bedroom units have 2 bathrooms) Manchebo has typical motel style rooms. Both places have full maid service & an on-site restaurant & bar.
