We are going to be staying in a Grand Suite in July and have heard differing views on their condition. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has stayed in a Grand Suite and their thoughts on the units for a family of four (with 2 children, ages 7 and 11). Do they all overlook a parking lot? Is there a musty smell? Is there any location in the Grand Suites back section that is better than another...at one end, in the middle? Also, are the ground floor units with a patio preferable over a higher floor with a balcony? Any additional thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

we stayed there in april . not bad for the price .the view not good parking lot and highway. the rooms were clean,no smell. have a great time.

I am very confused. Poster above says that grand suites overlook the parking lot and highway. Someone else responded to my question on another thread and said that the grand suites overlook the pools. Which is it or both?

Barbara, Are you asking about the villas or the Beach Racquet club? I think the villas are referred to as the Grand suites. I own one of those and they are awesome. Ground floor units are bigger as is the patio. In the upper floors the balcony actually takes space from the living room but on the first floor with no balcony, but a patio built out from the villa, there is no loss of space. Units are clean and quiet. Two great pools in back. Walk out to the front beach is area is two minutes or so. Great place for kids, two of the pools have great water slides. Remember, B/R club refers to the front units abd the villas are in the back. I have always preferred the villas. Rooms are bigger and MUCH quiter so you can't hear your neighbor!! Rooms and grounds are well kept and clean.

it depends on which room you have choosen. The room with the two double beds has no real window in the bedroom at all and when you open your door to get out to the hallway it's the highway and parking lot however there is a view of the pool area in your living area. If you choose the bedroom with the king size bed you will have a view from your bedroom but when you open your ddor to go outside again its the highway and the parking lot. That was in the 5000 rooms I am sure there is some rooms that when you walk out there is something else, but the rooms on the back side are parking lot and highway. Hope this helps you!!!
