currency

which currency is better used-- US dollars or Aruba money? do you have advices for changing currency in aruba? at particular local places or bank for better rates? should i bring good amount of cash or atm withdrawal is easily accessible and safer?

American money is accepted everywhere on the island. You do not have to convert money for any reason at all. There are ATM machines all over the island that dispense dollars.

US dollars are used everywhere! No need to change your currency. ATM's dispense in US dollars as well.

US DOLLARS ARE USED AND THERE ARE ATM'S EVERYWHERE. I BRING CASH AND LEAVE IT IN THE ROOM SAFE, BEEN DOING IT FOR OVER 20 YEARS AND NO PROBLEMS. LEAVING ON THE 11TH, HAVE FUN THERESA

NO need to bring a lot of extra cash to carry around. Everywhere you go they exchange Florins for USD and they all take plastic. I don't believe there are any "better rates" for exchange. One thing we have found out is that some US Banks charge additional fees for using your DR/CR card internationally.

you will need cash for gazoline

exchange rate is fixed 1.77 florin for $1.00
