Has anyone ever done a day trip to Curacao from Aruba?

We vacationed in Curacao a few years ago. It is not as "Americanized" as Aruba, but is very pretty. Lots of dutch architecture and the beaches are lovely, although a bit more rocky than what you are used to in Aruba. Recommend a trip 'downtown' to Willemstad; you can enjoy a cocktail while watching the cruise ships come in. There is also a floating bridge and tons of shopping to be had.

One word of caution: I have read on this board that the crime rate has dramatically risen in Curacao in past years. While this was not the case when we visited, use discretion. Stay in the tourist areas and you should not be bothered.

Thanks for the info. We were in Curacao and Aruba 30 years on our honeymoon. We have returned many times to Aruba but never Curacao. For sentimental reasons we would like to go back, but just for one day as we remember the beaches were not as nice and the shopping much better. Do you know if there is an actual day tour of Curacao, combining air and touring put together by a tour group company?
