I am making my first trip to Aruba in mid October. I am trying to decide where to stay. A friend of mine stayed at Manchebo and said the rooms were basic but the beach was beautiful. I'm not clear what the beach access is like at Divi Dutch - or the difference in beach quality. I do not have children. Some aspects of Divi sound good to me, like having some transportation provided between the related resorts, but a gorgeous uncrowded beach is important too.

Any advice would be very appreciated!!

MANCHEBO, GREAT PLACE

I have stayed at both places. I thought the beach at Manchebo was a lot nicer. The nightlife is dead at Manchebo, but extremely close to the casino. The Divi had a lot of night time entertainment, which was nice. We did enoy the service and food at Manchebo much better. I also loved the oceanview ground level room at Manchebo, it was worth the extra money.
