Re: Divi/Tam vs. Wyndham

Wyndham is much larger and more upscale. Their price is larger too. Few activities and the ones you get for entertainmnet you must pay an additional charge for them. 2 lobbies full of stores, just like in the city. so if you want a tropical vacation, go to the divi. If you want to be in a city, stay home in the one you are in now.

Re: Divi/Tam vs. Wyndham

What if both were all inclusive packages? We kinda figured that, that was the difference between the two and that is why we are on the fence. One (Divi Tam)is cheaper and less populated maybe more personal with the staff IMO, the other larger more expensive but more regal with all the bells and whistles. Would this be accurate assumption? We plan to go this year.

Re: Divi/Tam vs. Wyndham

Getting pretty accurate, but Wyndham all inclusive does not include all the free entertainmnet at 2 resorts at night for guests like the divi/tam and free use of kayaks, windsurfers, climbing wall, sailfish, snorkel equipment, bikes, free bike and snorkel trip, free gold cart rife to and from divi/tam/alhambra casino, and more. both have tennis, volleyball, fitness centers and game rooms. guess you need to choose between crowded beach with bells and whistles, or a not so crowded beach at divi with palm trees and tropical gardens.
Someone had posted movies at www.geocities.com/wyndhamaruba12000 and www.geocities.com/dividivi12000 or 12001 or 12002 or 12003 or 12004 and also www.geocities.com/tamarijn12000 or 12001 or 12002 or 12003 for short movies of resorts. Also no one has been killed at the Divi like a few people just were at the Wyndham from falling trees by pool and a few years ago a woman "sort of fell" to her death off the 5th floor balcony.

Thats terrible about the deaths! I think that the consences is go to Divi Divi and Tam with the tropical less traveled hotel. We do want to go where it is not Disneyland over run with people, some privacy but wondering would we miss the big hotel extras?

Go with the Divi/Tam - send me your concerns and I know that I can alleviate them with the positives of staying at this great resort. Would go back there in a heartbeat!

What big hotels extras? bigger lobbies with chandeliers that you walk through a few times? Only way to find out if you miss them is to go to the divi. you can always go up to the high rise in the day and sit in the lobby. LOL Enjoy wherever you choose.

Wyndham! Wyndham! Wyndham! This will be our third time at the Wyndham. I can not say enough about it. The staff is great, the rooms are excellent, and the restaurants are fantastic. Where ever you decide to stay, have a wonderful trip!!!
