Divi's

Going down there in late June and am looking at the AI's. Are the two Divi's the best place to stay for the money. Any help is appreciated.

Re: Divi's

We spent our honeymoon at the Marriott, no AI packages and rather pricey, but wouldn't have done it any other way. We spent our one year anniversary at the Divi (MEGA AI) and were pleased. Great deal for the money. Not on the same level as the Marriott, but the beach was beautiful and the resort had more of an island atmosphere.

Going back in April and are staying at the Wyndham (AI). Not that we wouldn't return to the Divi, we just rather try different places. However, we are going during April - which tends to be one of the more expensive months - and booked our trip thru MCM Tours... we are saving a TON of money! Going thru GWV and staying at the Divi would have cost about $1500 more for my husband and I.

I'd say shop around if getting the best deal is your main concern.

Re: Divi's

My husband and I honeymooned at the Divi and enjoyed the experience. The beach is wonderful. The food is average and we did eat at a few of the local restuarants during the week, which I would definitely recommend doing since there are so many good ones. Our room was nice, had a great balcony with view of the beach and was comfortable. There is nightly entertainment which is a little cheesy. Overall if you want an AI its pretty good.
