How much is a transformer from European to Aruban, when you buy it on the island?

Aruba works on the same voltage(115AC/60 cycles) as the States.

We lived for five years in Aruba. Had some appliances we brought from Holland and used a converter which we bought locally. This is several years ago but with the steady stream of Duthch people going to live and work there for a few years, I assume you can still buy such converters.

Thanks, I am coming from Belgian and i have been advised to bring no equipment which seems a shame to start over again. I'd love to hear from some Dutch person, if they brought things like Kettles and irons and other simple things like this and if the converter costs more than the item! What website do the locals use?
