First timer needs hotel advice

My girlfriend and I will be visiting Aruba in early March. We would like to stay at a more secluded area with direct access to a good beach. Definitely looking for a place with a more romantic vibe. Great facilities and access to good snorkeling are a plus. Any suggestions?

Bucuti would fit the first requirement

>>> "looking for a place with a more romantic vibe"
--- Bucuti is considered the most romantic resort on Aruba and on one of the best beaches.
>>> "access to good snorkeling"
--- Most of the resort do not have good snorkeling right on their beach. For that most go way to the other end of the island to Baby Beach(car needed) or up past the Marriott(about 1 mile up) to Malmok Beach.

Ditto on Tom's post. Marriott up the end of the line may provide more seclusion, good beach, some romance and close to some good snorkling.

The Bucuti is secluded and basically geared towards newlyweds/couples. It is not fancy but the service makes you feel special!

I vote for the Marriott, first class all the way. Great beach and trendy area, nice places to walk around at night(high rise district). Actually, the very very nicest place to stay but it is the most expensive is the Hyatt. It is about 4 hotels over from the Marriott ( the are all in a row) but is magnificent and beautiful.

I recommend the Marriott too! Spent my honeymoon there. If you do choose the Marriott, try Simply Fish... a restaurant they set up right on the beach. Very romantic. We ate there our very first night in Aruba. We were so exhausted from going right from our reception to the airport - and it was just perfect!

Re: First timer needs hotel advice

First Timer,

While not a honeymooner, my wife and I visited Aruba in October 03 and have just planned a return visit in April. The place is unbelievable. The Hyatt is a little pricey but worth every penny. Beautiful beach and pool.

I would also recommend eating at the Flying Fishbone...very romantic. Get your reservation though so that you will see the sunset. BUT...it is quite far from the Hyatt and will be about $30-35 for the taxi just one way. Again though, this is a very unique place and very romantic.
