    Helloooooo (newbie here)

Am trying to flee the grey weather in the UK and have just discovered Aruba in my research and am very happy indeed as it looks PERFECT.

I will be most likely to be travelling as a solo traveller and am wondering if there are any cheap'ish places to stay on / near a beach (Eagle?).

I would be looking at flying out late November or December. Would it be difficult to arrive and find somewhere? If so, can any lovely person recommend a nice cheap'ish hotel for a week?

    Many thanks

    Ruthie (London UK)

hello ruthie and welcome to the aruba.com community forum

you may find an inexpensive timeshare on eagle beach
look in the timeshare category...possibly a studio at lacabana might be in the $700 range.

i am not sure that i would "chance" arriving without having a place to stay confirmed.

    Hi Ruthie!

Welcome to the Aruba.com Community Forum I agree with Andrea - I would want to have accommodations confirmed before arriving, especially during high season.

    thanks Kent
MVC is a quiet small resort
    here is there website
add in $8+ for mandatory continental breakfast and 20% in taxes
(seems kind of silly charging $8 for a mandatory continental breakfast. why wouldn't they just include it in the daily rate if it is mandatory and call it "continental breakfast included?")

    that is correct cindy
if one leaves that blank (ACCOMMODATIONS)
it will cause aruba immigration to raise an eyebrow

and, i received a PM about asking about hostels in aruba
i replied to the person that NO there are no hostels.

    just a thought..........why not?

I stay at MVC every year for two weeks. It is basic, but clean and friendly. Might be booked though.
