Going in March to HI with all-inclusive plan. I understand there are surcharges on certain meals/drinks. Can anyone provide any info about these "surcharges"? What type of meals or drinks? How much additional? Thanks!

There is a list of about 30 drinks included in the AI all made with the local liquor. Any premium liquor(Meyers or Cruzan rum for example or a name brand Whisky.) carry a $1.75 surcharge. Their local rum is pretty good. For dinner certain items like the filet mignon will have four stars next to it with each star = $2.00. So to have the filet will be $8.00 extra. I believe these charges are reasonable since the AI here is about half the price of the other hotels.

I am interested in this plan because I have two girls ages 10 and 12 and I thought that this would be a great getaway for us. Have you seen the rooms and are they decent?
