Honeymoon

Where is the best place to stay for a honeymoon. Looking for something that is private and don't necessarily have to go into an elevator to get to my room. Something with a nice view of the Ocean. On the other hand I also don't want to be driving after a night on the town to get home. Preferrably something walking distance to the action/restaurants/casinos. Is there even a place like this in Aruba.

Re: Honeymoon

That's a tough one. The nicest honeymoon place is the Hyatt. As far as driving goes, you pretty much need to drive everywhere. Taxi's are, of course, a good alternative. Aruba is a small island and taxi fare is at most $15-20. The renaissance, however, is in the middle of town, but not on the beach. It does have a private island. The only drawback is that the island is very close to the airport, and thus noisy at times. The island does make up for the noise in beauty and privacy though.

Re: Honeymoon

It sounds to me like you want to spend your days at Bucuti Beach Resort and then either go into town or up to Palm Beach for more action at night. There are taxis or buses to take you to both places.

Re: Honeymoon

I'd go with the Hyatt, very nice place, walking distance to several restaurants and bars. Still need a car, take a bus or taxi into down town Aruba, but the Hyatt is the nicest of the resorts I've seen in Aruba.
