Honeymoon Hotel choices
We're planning our honeymoon at the end of April in Aruba and need some advice on where to stay. We definitely want an all-inclusive (I’ve read the food on the island is fabulous and we will venture out to eat at other locations…it’s more a “piece of mind” thing – not stressing over how much money we spend on a drink or a meal, etc.). We want a clean room with a nice view, friendly & helpful staff, water activities (snorkel, windsurf, etc.) included, pool options (not overly crowded, can go somewhere else if there are kids screaming), food available late at night (not a full service restaurant, just something to satisfy midnight munchies), and nightlife. We’re willing to venture out for nightlife…I’ve heard downtown is the place to be, but is there anything in the hotel area? I’ve heard fabulous things about the Wyndham, but it’s not really an all-inclusive. They offer a meal plan, but what about drinks (are they expensive) and water activities (do you have to rent snorkel equipment, etc.)? We got engaged at the Wyndham in Jamaica and loved it (they had a “river pool” that you could just lay on a floaty and go around the river and under the waterfalls and down the slides, etc. - it was it’s own little mini water park). Any suggestions would be greatly helpful. As an additional note, I travel often for work and can be a bit of a hotel snob. My room needs to be nice - afterall, I will be on my honeymoon and will be spending some time in there. :-)
