Re: Hotel?

Bonnie, went last April and absolutely loved the Wyndham. There are great packages and free upgrades if you join Wyndham rewards (also free). The location is great and every room gives you an ocean view due to how the hotel is positioned.

My wife loved the pool since the beach was a bit windy and the sand was irritating. All of the other properties are within a liesurely stroll on the boardwalk - we went to different one each night to check out the casino, restaurants, etc.

Aruba is an absoluely fabulous place - we wish we were going back this year, but it is the kids vacation year but we wilkl be back in 2004!!!!

Write if you have other questions - last year was our first time also.

Hyatt, Marriott, Radisson, Bucuti, .....

Hyatt, Marriott, Radisson. Bucuti, all good.
Depends how much you want to spend and type of resort. Big, small, plush, big pool, great beach, quiet, casino on site, romantic, lots of activities, .....??

Re: Hotel?

Hi, We stayed at the Occidental/Allegro. I cried the first night as I expected a nicer room - it was very outdated. But the room was extremely clean and as we explored he hotel it became very easy and comfortable to get around in. The beach front was spectacular and the pool was very, very nice. The staff was super nice and the cleaning staff was very professional. Once we started to explore the island, we realised that it didn't matter that the room was outdated because we weren't there much. Next time, however, we will spend the extra money for a nicer hotel. You truly get what you pay for at this island.
Now that I'm home and got my photos developed, I wish we had spent more time snorkeling. Take lots of pictures!
