La Cabana

Can anyone tell me anything about this timeshare? Good bad or ugly. Have a chance to rent a week from a co workers friend. Is it nice, plenty for three teenagers to do? On the beach? nice beach? etc. sorry to sound so dumb but we have never been to Aruba so we donot know anything about the island or this timeshare. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

Hopefully someone can help you with specifics, but La Cabana definitely has a reputation as a "family resort". Your kids will love you even more for taking them to Aruba.

Some La Cabana stuff to get you started:

not dumb questions

make certain that your coworker's unit is available and not one of the closed ones (the renovation is on phase 3 but has to go back and touch up phase 1) blocks of units are taken out of use for about 3 or 4 months at a time and the owners have been notified when theirs is to be unavailable.

welcome to the forum
lacabana a great place for families and kids

hope it is a larger unit than a studio
a studio is ok for a couple but 3 teens would be tight.

please ask your co worker if it is an a b or c d or e unit
or an ab or bc unit and the unit number

LaCabana

My husband and I have stayed there the last 3 visits and are going this May as well. We really have a great time there. There is a great pool and the kids and adults can both enjoy it. There are great BBQ pits for cooking out, good poolside cafe and bar. The staff there is very nice and helpful. Oh, and an extra bonus, there is a Dunkin Donuts at the resort just behind it (Aruban); a short walk.
The beach is just a few steps away and there is a great view of it from most of the rooms. Enjoy!
