La Cabana All Suites Resort Comments?

Hi. Looking at 1st ever vacation to Aruba in 2007. Appreciate comments on best time of year to travel for best weather and activities. Prefer off season when kids are in school and beaches are more adult friendly. We are avid snorkelers. Also, any thoughts or 1st hand experience with the La Cabana All Suites Beach Resort? Thanks!

We go here to the Villas at LC every year . First 2 weeks in May . It's not the Ritz , but your not paying Ritz prices . www.lacabanavillas or www.lacabanabrc Eagle each is the best . Snorkling readily available in Aruba . The people are great there . We rent from an owner . Enjoy !!!!!

Re: La Cabana All Suites Resort Comments?

Hello
anytime of year is good there I own week 12 at the la cabana villas. the kids are still in school and its a nice time of year. I snorkel all the time and its a good time. Its not like grand cayman where the diving and snorkeling is unreal, but it is a lot of fun and you can snorkel just about anywhere you want to.
la cabana beach and racket club I think are better than the villas due to the fact the villas are having financial problems, so I am told. Good luck and have fun. The beach and racket club are nice its not 5 star but I would give it a 3.5 stars.

Re: La Cabana All Suites Resort Comments?

I find La Cabana to be extremely tired and in need of a major face lift. It is the one place on the island that I would not stay. We go to the Occidental Grand Aruba on Palm Beach. It is an all inclusive, newly rennovated, good food, great beach. La Cabana historically has a lot of kids there and you must cross the highway to get to the beach. I recall that the rooms were very musty and looked as if they had not redecorated since 1960....everything was pink and lt blue. Many people on this board have said how much they love that resort, but for me it is just awful. Give me a clean hotel with newly decorated rooms amd a bar on the sand, as well as at the pool, good food and I'm happy. I would suggest not going there, especially for your 1st Aruban vacation. Make it a positive experience!!

LaCabana BRC is a fun place. Make sure it is BRC and not the Villas where you will be staying. Currently there is stuff happening betwen the Villas and BRC. Just so you know we have stayed in the Villas for a night and found them fine, clean, not smelling, and nice. You can do many water sports. High season goes from 12-the end of April.Just go on a week when there is not a school vacation. LaCabana is not fancy, no marble in the kitchen. The units are clean and the facility is friendly. E mail me directly for more info.

The La Cabana Hotel is a nice family oriented hotel, lots of activities to do!!! The best off season month to go is in September.
