Lacabana Inside renovations complete
now they begin some outside maintenance ...stucco.....painting and the casino comes in the winter.

Lacabana casino
Just wondering if the new Lacabana casino is up and running. Also how about the old Key Largo...has it ever reopened or are their plans in the works? Last January we were told that both would be operational soon. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

the Lacabana's new casino is supposed to be up and running sometime in the winter......2011/2012. i was speaking with the board's president during the latter part of august and he is hopeful for december 2011 opening.
the former key largo casino, now the TROP casino, as of mid august was not open and i was told by another person affiliated with the place that it is ready to go, waiting for permits/paperwork to be finalized. i have come to realize that there are many definitions of "soon"  TROPICANA Quote:

Andrea---I couldn't agree with you more on the definition of "soon" lol!!! I think that is to keep us hopeful and eager??? For the most part, I hope the new casino is open this comming May as it was always nice to scoot over there from the LaCabana and not have to worry about catchin the bus at midnight from the Alahambra or taking a cab later on if you were there much later or any other casinos for that matter. Thank you for the update on that!!
